Soldier death inquest adjourned
A soldier who was found dead at Catterick Garrison army barracks in North Yorkshire has been named by police.

Lance Corporal Carl Michael Spottiswoode, 34, from Sheffield, was a member of the Prince of Wales Regiment.

Officers were called to the Somme Barracks on Wednesday morning after reports of a man found hanging in a store room.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned to a later date.

It is the 28th non-combat death at Catterick Garrison since 1990.
