Hospital unit to close at night
Staff shortages at a North Yorkshire hospital are forcing it to close the minor injuries unit at night.

The unit at Malton Hospital, near Pickering, is normally open 24-hours a day, but managers say it will close overnight for a number of weeks.

Anyone arriving for treatment between 2130 and 0800 BST will be able to use an emergency telephone to contact the ambulance service.

A recruitment campaign is now under way to try to resolve the staffing crisis.
