Woman named in fatal bike smash

A woman who died in a quad bike accident in North Yorkshire has been named by police.

Yvonne Brown, 53, from Law in Lanarkshire had been visiting the region. Another woman, in her 50s, was seriously injured in the accident.

The pair were riding the bike on private land at West Rounton, near Northallerton on Saturday at 2120 BST.

The bike collided with a wooden fence and the woman died in hospital. An accident investigation has begun.
