Airliner and fighter in near miss
An investigation has been launched after a passenger plane and military aircraft flew close to each other above North Yorkshire.

The incident took place on 6 September, 6,000ft above an area south west of Catterick. It is not known how near the planes came to each other.

The passenger plane was en-route to Durham Tees Valley Airport at the time.

A file has been lodged with the Civil Aviation Authority and the independent UK Airprox Board will investigate.
