Investigations are taking place into the cause of a car crash in North Yorkshire in which an elderly man died.
The crash, which did not involve any other vehicles, happened on Crag Lane, North Rigton at 1830 BST on Friday.
Police say the green Peugeot car the man was travelling in left the road and collided with a gate post before coming to rest in a field.
The man, from North Rigton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses.
