Rollercoaster death inquest opens
An inquest is due to open into the death of a woman in a rollercoaster crash at a North Yorkshire theme park.

Gemma Savage, 20, from Wath-upon- Dearne, South Yorkshire, died when two cars collided on the Treetop Twister ride at Lightwater Valley in June 2001.

The Durham University student died at Leeds General Infirmary from severe head and neck injuries.

Deputy coroner John Sleightholme is due to begin hearing evidence at an inquest at Skipton Magistrates' Court.
