Hill fire sign backs fox hunting
Fox hunting beacon
The beacon spelled out the words, No Ban
Fox hunting supporters lit a sign spelling the words "No Ban" on a Harrogate hillside to protest against planned changes in the law.

Members of the Countryside Alliance set fire to straw bales on the hill near Kirkby Overblow on Monday to highlight their opposition to a ban.

The government will debate outlawing hunting with dogs on Wednesday.

Ministers have already said they will force a law change through even if peers oppose it.

The protest in North Yorkshire was one of 12 beacons lit across England and Wales by fox hunting supporters.
