A man, questioned over reports of a man wielding a Samurai sword and knife in York, has been released on police bail.
The man was interviewed by officers in relation to allegations of weapons offences.
Police - including armoured response teams - were called to Fifth Avenue at 1300 BST on Sunday.
They cordoned off the area in Tang Hall. North Yorkshire Police said they arrested a man after a standoff.
