A consultant psychiatrist has been found guilty of raping a female patient.
Dr Michael Haslam, 69, attacked the woman in a photocopying room while he was working for the NHS in North Yorkshire in 1988.
The assault left her feeling "unclean, ashamed and humiliated" and she later attempted to commit suicide, Leeds Crown Court was told.
Haslam, of Crayke, near Easingwold, North Yorkshire, was found guilty of one charge of rape.
He was also convicted of four charges of indecent assault involving three patients that took place between 1981 and 1988.
