Rock fan shells out for Stones
Mick Jagger
The Stones kick-off their UK tour on Sunday
A dedicated Rolling Stones fan admits he "can't get no satisfaction" despite watching the band 16 times already this year.

Matt Lee, from Sheffield, has followed the rockers around the globe spending 8,000 on tickets, air fares and accommodation.

The 27-year-old uses up all his holiday time at work watching Mick Jagger and co and has travelled to the US four times, Germany, France, Sweden and Holland - all within the past 12 months.

Mr Lee, who has seen the band more than 30 times in total, is now looking forward to watching the UK leg of the Stones' Licks world tour with another eight gigs on his list in the next few weeks.

Some of my friends think I am a bit potty but you have got to be passionate about something in life
Matt Lee

He said: "They truly are a great band and I never get bored of watching them.

"I go to most of the gigs on my own but always see the same faces wherever I go in the world.

"Some of my friends think I am a bit potty but you have got to be passionate about something in life and it's the Stones with me.

"I must have spent about 8,000 so far but I think that it's money well spent."

The group kick-off the UK leg of their tour in Twickenham on Sunday after postponing the previous night due to illness.

Mr Lee added: "I'm planning on seeing them at least seven more times on this tour.

"You only need to watch them live once to see why they are so good.

"They can't go on forever but I am enjoying them while they last."
