Four beaches in the Yorkshire and Humber region have been named as some of the cleanest in Europe.
UK beaches are becoming cleaner
The resorts are among a record 105 in the UK to be awarded Blue Flag status.
Cleethorpes in North East Lincolnshire has been awarded Blue Flag recognition for the first time by environmental charity Encams.
North Yorkshire beaches Scarborough North Bay and Whitby West Cliff along with Bridlington North Beach in East Yorkshire have also gained the prestigious award for their cleanliness and facilities.

Nationwide, the number of beaches awarded the Blue Flag this year has doubled since 2000.
The European survey measures everything from accessibility for disabled visitors through to the number of bins provided, lifeguards and litter levels.
Darryl Stephenson, of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "This is good news for Bridlington.
"There has been a lot of effort and investment to promote the resort and it is paying off."
Alan Woods, of Encams, said: "It's clear from this research that most people believe in the British resort.
"The awards show we are continuing to improve and reach the very highest standards."
