Two arrests after drugs raid on pub in Norwich

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after police raided a pub in Norwich.

A member of staff at the Firs pub in Cromer Road is being questioned on suspicion of drug dealing.

A man was held for possession of a controlled substance. Friday's multi-agency raid was prompted by residents' concerns, Norfolk Police said.

"This warrant was part of our ongoing work with licensed premises in the area," Insp Brian Pincher added.

"Over the past year officers have been working more closely with licensees.

"When we can see things are not well managed Norfolk Police and our partners will take positive action."

The multi-agency operation involved police, HM Revenue and Customs, the licensing authority and Broadland District Council's Environmental Health team.
