Two men have been jailed for causing the death of an 18-year-old woman by dangerous driving in Norfolk.

Stacey Cutts, from Harleston, was a passenger in a car being driven by her boyfriend Tom Wright, 23, which crashed on the A140 at Tasburgh last April.

Wright, of Bury Road, Diss, and Jake Riseborough, 19, of St Mary's Close, Harleston, admitted the charge and were each jailed for three-and-a-half years.

Norwich Crown Court heard the men were "racing" when the crash happened.

Judge Paul Downes, at Norwich Crown Court, also disqualified both men from driving for five years.

Miss Cutts was celebrating her 18th birthday with Wright when she was killed.

The court was told Wright's driving was "fuelled by anger" and Riseborough's pursuit was a "competitive response".

Other drivers were overtaken at speeds of up to 100mph, the court was told, before Wright's car hit a fence.

The judge told them: "It does not make it any easier as whatever sentence I decide, it will never be long enough and will never ease the feeling of loss to the families or friends."

Wright will go to prison and Riseborough will go to a young offenders' institution.
