Work to begin on A47 improvements

Work on a £1.2m scheme to improve safety on the A47 in Norfolk is starting on Monday.

A 1.9 mile (3km) section of carriageway east of King's Lynn, between East Winch and West Bilney, will be resurfaced and highway drainage upgraded.

Alterations will also be made to two lay-bys.

The work will be carried out at night and the A47 will be closed for some of this time. It is due to be finished by 23 December.
