Cathedral hostry legacy lives on

An 11-year building project to bring back to life the hostry in historic Norwich Cathedral has been completed.

The new development is on the former site of the medieval hostry where the monks would provide hospitality and medical treatment for visitors.

Now there is a visitor centre for people to be introduced to the life, work and beauty of the cathedral.

The £4m hostry project was part funded by a National Lottery Grant and is part of a £10m target for improvements.
