Daniel Gooda said he punched Timothy Moore in self-defence
A soldier cleared of manslaughter after the death of a man following a fight outside a bar in Norwich is to be sentenced later for affray.
Household Cavalry member Daniel Gooda, 26, said he punched 30-year-old Timothy Moore, who came from Norwich, to protect a friend.
Gooda was convicted of affray and will be sentenced at the city's Crown Court.
Mr Moore died six days after suffering head injuries in the fight. The affray charge involved a club doorman.
Gooda, who is based at Combermere Barracks, Windsor, had denied manslaughter, affray and assaulting a police officer during the incident in March at the Sing Sing bar on Prince of Wales Road.
