Woman's body 'in house for year'

A woman whose body was found at her home in Norfolk could have died more than a year ago, police have confirmed.

Acting on an anonymous tip-off, police broke into the house in Tunn Street, Fakenham, on Thursday and discovered the remains of an elderly woman.

Norfolk Police are understood to have found unopened mail and newspapers that were at least 12-months-old.

Officers believe they know the woman's identity and efforts are now under way to trace her relatives.
