Man accused of church burglaries

A 21-year-old man has been charged with carrying out burglaries at churches in the Dereham area of Norfolk.

All Saints in Necton, St Nicholas Church, Baptist Church and Christian Spiritual Church, all in Dereham, were targeted overnight on 12 December.

Also targeted were St Mary's Church, Elsing, All Saints Church, Swanton Morley and Shipdham All Saints Church.

Gary Franks, from the Dereham area, has been charged with burglary and is due to appear before Swaffham magistrates.
