An investigation has established the fatal fire was not started deliberately

A 91-year-old woman has died after a fire broke out in her Norfolk home.

Grace Crome was found in a bedroom of the bungalow in Beccles Road, Bradwell after the blaze started near the front door.

Peter Harris, station manager at Great Yarmouth fire station, said an investigation into what caused the blaze had started.

Norfolk Police said Wednesday's fire was not suspicious and a report was being prepared for the coroner.

Mr Harris said firefighters were confronted with a fire at the front of the property.

He said: "They quickly located an elderly lady and extinguished the fire. Sadly she was deceased."

A Norfolk Police spokesman said: "A file is being prepared for Her Majesty's Coroner and an inquest will be held in due course."
