Couple scoop £7.6m on the lottery

A Norfolk couple have pledged to carry on running their car repair business despite scooping a £7.6m win on the national lottery.

Eric and Sue Tarry, from Sculthorpe, Fakenham, won the rollover jackpot on Saturday with a lucky dip ticket.

The great-grandparents said they had "not slept" since the win.

Mr Tarry, 78, and his wife, 56, said they had no intention of giving up work but were considering buying a motorhome and finishing their kitchen.

Mr Tarry said work would go on at the car repair garage.

He said: "It's our way of life. I have got lots and lots of lovely customers.

"They are not only customers but friends as well. It's not easy to give up."

The couple, who have been married for nearly 30 years, said their family would be "taken care of".

Mr Tarry said the size of the win was still sinking in.

He added: "We haven't slept since - can't eat, can't sleep."

The couple have played the Lottery since it was launched in 1994.

Their winning numbers in Saturday's draw were 10, 34, 35, 39, 43 and 47.
