Missing man, 73, dies in hospital

A 73-year-old retired clergyman has died in hospital after going missing in the Norfolk countryside and being found at the bottom of an embankment.

Police carried out extensive searches for Raymond Powell who was diabetic and suffered from Alzheimer's Disease.

He was spotted on Wednesday at lunchtime at East Harling Industrial Estate by a police helicopter.

He was found semi-conscious and taken by ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he died.
