A post mortem found he died by strangulation

The death of a convicted sex offender whose body was found on a path in Norfolk is being treated as murder.

The body of Gordon Boon, 73, from Norwich, was discovered in Rabbit Lane, Great Witchingham, on Monday.

Mr Boon was last seen alive in the area around the Maids Heads Hotel in Norwich on 3 October and post-mortem tests showed he died from strangulation.

He was jailed for six years in 2001 for serious sexual offences and placed on the sex offenders register for life.
