Four arrested over illegal rave

Four people were arrested and a large quantity of equipment seized when police closed down an illegal rave in Norfolk on Sunday.

The event, which started near Loddon on Saturday night, attracted 200 people.

Public order trained officers with dog units in support raided the Sisland Carr area, a police spokeswoman said.

Three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of organising a rave, music and sound equipment was confiscated and a number of vehicles seized, she added.

Supt Jo Parrett said: "This morning's action reinforces Norfolk Constabulary's zero tolerance towards raves and unlicensed musical events which disrupt the peace and quiet of our local communities.

"As with any police operation, this was carefully planned and resources were drawn from a wide area but I am pleased to say that it was executed without major incident and the majority of people left voluntarily."
