Eco-town protesters plan meeting

A group has called an open meeting to discuss plans for an eco-town on a former Norfolk RAF base.

The proposal is for up to 10,000 homes on the former RAF base at Coltishall.

MP Norman Lamb will address the meeting called by Coltishall Eco-Town Action Group (CETAG) on Wednesday 10 September at the Scottow Three Horseshoes.

Glyn Williams, CETAG chairman, said: "We hope this meeting, requested by many people in the community, will help clarify where we stand."

Mr Williams said: "The development may still happen but we continue to contest it.

"We also need to address what the community believes should happen to the site instead."
