Sirens which warn of flooding along the Norfolk coast are to be activated.
The sirens will sound across the county's coast on Saturday between 0930 and 1030 BST as part of an annual test.
Norfolk Police told residents to expect to hear a steady note for 30 seconds and then silence for 15 seconds over four minutes in the hour period.
The 60-year-old sirens are usually activated by the police after consultation with the Environment Agency in the event of flooding.
Chris Eldridge, planning manager for Norfolk Police said: "Areas of Norfolk can be at risk of flooding and it is vitally important that we, together with our partners such as Norfolk County Council and the Environment Agency, ensure the flood siren systems are working correctly as part of the existing evacuation options.
"We strongly recommend that people register for the Environment Agency's floodline warnings direct system which provides warnings of flooding direct using mobile phones or e-mail."
The Environment Agency has previously called the siren warning system obsolete but in May, after a consultation, the Norfolk Fire and Community Protection Review Panel agreed to save all but 17 of the 57 sirens.
