Missing boy 'abducted and killed'

A 17-year-old youth who has been missing for nearly three weeks may have been abducted before being killed, police have said.

Simon Everitt, of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, was last seen near the James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, on the evening of Saturday 7 June.

Officers are searching woodland in Mautby and say he may have been assaulted in the area.

A 40-year-old woman has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detectives say the chances of him being found alive are slimming

The teenager's bicycle has been found at nearby Corton.

Det Ch Insp Steve Strong, of Norfolk Police, said they believed Simon Everitt was assaulted some time after 2300 GMT on 7 June.
