Alcohol seized from young people
Norfolk policeman
Hundreds of alcoholic drinks were taken from youngsters
Hundreds of alcoholic drinks were confiscated from underage drinkers in Norfolk during a crackdown on crime and disorder during the half term holidays.

The aim was to prevent anti-social behaviour and to also identify shops selling drink to young people.

Officers confiscated 124 cans of lager or cider, 53 bottles of beer, nine bottles of spirits and 24 bottles of alcopops and wine.

Parents of young people found drinking were sent letters from Norfolk Police.

Sgt Eric Bradley said: "This has been a successful campaign with officers patrolling known areas and making early interventions to prevent alcohol related crime and anti-social behaviour.

"We take underage drinking very seriously and any premises found selling alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 will be dealt with robustly."
