Reward to find missing teenager
Gary Ling
Gary Ling's disappearance is said to be out of character
A reward is being offered for information that leads to the safe return of a missing teenager.

Gary Ling, 18, from Norwich, was last seen outside a nightclub in the city on 14 January.

The restaurant chain which employed him as a chef and waiter has offered a £5,000 reward.

Police have searched areas where Mr Ling was last seen, and police divers have scoured a section of the River Wensum near Norwich railway station.

Mr Ling was last seen by his friends outside the Liquid nightclub on Prince of Wales Road, but while they went inside, he did not.

He was later spotted on CCTV images heading into Recorder Road, which runs parallel to the river.

Fantastic personality

Last week Mr Ling's mother Hazel made a public appeal for her son to return home and for witnesses to come forward with information.

She described him as happy and intelligent, and said the disappearance of the "hard-working and family-oriented" teenager was completely out of character.

Richard Farrelly, Norfolk area manager of the Nando's restaurant chain, said: "All the team at Nando's are deeply concerned about Gary's whereabouts and we want to do everything we can to ensure his safe return.

"Gary has a fantastic personality, he is really great fun to work with and gets on with everyone in the team."
