Turkeys saved from blazing shed
Firefighters have been praised for saving thousands of turkeys from death after a fire broke out in a poultry shed in Norfolk.

The fire broke out in a rearing shed on a farm at Breckles near Thetford.

Six crews tackled the blaze in the 75m by 15m (246 ft by 49ft) building, which broke out just before 0300 GMT.

Peter Abbs, from Norfolk Fire Service said: "We managed to save 50% of the building and the vast majority of the 7,000 turkeys."
