Sagle Bernstein gave the money to the hospital that cared for her sister
Contractors have been appointed to build a new £12m hospital in Norfolk using a legacy of a local woman.

Balfour Beatty will build the new hospital to replace the original one in Mill Road, Cromer, which first opened in 1932.

It will be for day case operations, diagnostics and minor injuries care and will be completed in 2010.

Sagle Bernstein left £12m to the hospital when she died in May 2000 to thank staff who cared for her sister.
