Police get more time to quiz man
Murder inquiry detectives have been given more time to question a suspect about the death of a 37-year-old man who was stabbed in Norwich.

Jim Cushing, 37, was pronounced dead at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after the attack in Harris Mews, Bowthorpe, on Wednesday evening.

A post mortem examination is due to be conducted on Friday.

On Thursday afternoon magistrates gave police more time to question a 52-year-old man arrested on Wednesday.

A second man, aged 36, was taken to the same hospital for treatment to wounds to his arm in connection with the incident.

Norwich magistrates granted Norfolk Police a warrant of further detention to allow officers to continue to question the 52-year-old, arrested on suspicion of murder after the incident, until Friday.

He is currently being held at Bethel Street Police Station in Norwich.
