First film marks 70th anniversary
Wymondham cinema
The 1937 film will be shown on the original kalee projectors
A Norfolk cinema is marking its 70th anniversary on Sunday by showing the same film as on its opening night.

In 1937 Swing Time with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers topped the bill at Wymondham Regal Cinema with local dignitaries attending.

The film will be shown on the original 1930s Kalee 12 projectors.

The cinema closed down in 1993 and the main auditorium was converted to a dance floor but a dozen or so classic films are still shown there each year.

Phillip Yaxley, from the Regal Experience Group, said it was not easy to find the film.
