More than 6,000 houses in Norfolk are still without electricity on Friday after major storms.

EDF Energy said its engineers were working to restore power as quickly as possible to 6,600 homes, but could not say when the lines would be fixed.

At the peak of the storms, 19,000 homes were without power in the county.

Train services between Norwich and London are now running as normal, but One Railway warned there could be last minute changes to the timetable.

The line had been closed after a conservatory was blown off the side of a house near Diss.

First Capital Connect, which operates the line between King's Lynn and King's Cross said it hoped to operate as normal a service as possible.

Several schools schools are shut because of damage to buildings or lack of power.
