MP promotes pork for school meals
Pigs - generic
Pork is promoted as a healthy meat for school meals
Norfolk MP Richard Bacon has called for pig farmers to get a bigger role in providing school meals.

The South Norfolk MP has asked schools minister Parmjit Dhanda to help pig farmers have a greater say in supplying the meat.

He said in the House of Commons: "The British Pig Executive is promoting pork as a very nutritious and low fat food.

"Could the minister spare 30 minutes to discuss with them how the meat could be used in schools?"
