Charles Clarke joins an education company as a director
Former minister Charles Clarke has landed a new job with a firm supplying equipment and teaching materials to schools, colleges and organisations.

The Norwich South MP was education secretary before he became home secretary, a post he lost this year.

He has joined Norwich-based LJ Group as a non-executive director.

The former minister said: "The LJ Group is involved in technical training and education. I hope that I can contribute positively to their development."

Larry Rowe, managing director of LJ Group, said: "We are involved in equipping new facilities under the Government Building Schools for the Future programme.

"Charles brings an understanding of the intended outcomes for this initiative."
