Pair face turkey cruelty charges
Two men who worked at a Bernard Matthews poultry farm have appeared in court charged with cruelty to turkeys.

Neil Allen, 30, and Daniel Palmer, 27, both from Dereham, Norfolk, are accused of ill-treating the birds at Beck Farm in Felthorpe, near Norwich.

Their defence lawyers asked Norwich Magistrates' Court for an adjournment and it was granted until 7 September.

An inquiry into the alleged incident on 21 April was carried out by Norfolk Police and RSPCA inspectors.
