Proposals to build almost 150 environmentally-friendly homes in Norwich have been revealed.
The city council is working with Circle Anglia and Broadland Housing Association on a £3.5m plan for 148 affordable and eco-homes.
It is hoped some of the properties will include roof-mounted wind turbines and solar electric panels.
Development manager for Circle Anglia Peter Goodrick said the homes would be good for tenants and the environment.
"These homes will be extremely energy efficient, both in terms of the insulation and running of the buildings and the environmental impact of their construction," he added.
The developers aim to carry out research on the environmental impact of these homes.
