Motorist killed as car hits tree

A male driver was killed and his teenage passenger seriously injured in an accident on the A1067 in Norfolk.

The accident happened late on Thursday night when a car left the road and hit a tree on the Holt Road at Guist.

Norfolk police said the man died at the scene. The 15-year-old female passenger had to be cut out of the wreckage before being taken to hospital.

The teenager is being treated for serious injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash.
