Proposals to convert Norwich City Hall into a hotel complex are to be discussed by councillors.
Average maintenance costs of more than £430,000 per year have forced the city council to consider alternative ways to maintain the 1930s building.
If councillors accept the proposal, the city centre building would be leased out, but the council chamber and civic meeting rooms would be maintained.
Councillors will debate the plans at city hall on Wednesday evening.
Other proposals which will be considered include:
- The redevelopment City Hall car park, which has been closed for two years
- and new staff premises at the rear of City Hall
