Two charged over violent disorder

Two people have been charged with violent disorder after an incident in a street in a Norfolk town.

Officers were called to Lincoln Way, Thetford, on Sunday night to find about 40 people in the area, including a number who had suffered injuries.

Michael Steggles, 22, of Gloucester Way, Thetford, and a 15-year-old youth are due before Swaffham Magistrates.

Two more Thetford men were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of violent disorder and remain in custody.

Seven men arrested on Sunday evening for violent disorder have been released on police bail to a date next month pending further inquiries.
