Murder inquiry from 1970 to close
Susan Long
Police believe teenager's killer could be dead
The unsolved murder of Norfolk teenager Susan Long is to be wound up as police believe her killer could now be dead.

The 18-year-old was murdered in Aylsham in 1970 with the strap of her handbag. Since the case was reopened last year, 400 people have been DNA tested.

But Det Sup Martin Wright, from Norfolk Police, said: "Even if we close the case again it will not mean the end of our investigations.

"The DNA tests gave us 31 possibilities we still need to follow up."
