It is thought signs are being recycled as scrap metal
Motorists and pedestrians are being put at risk because people are stealing road signs, according to a council.

Norfolk County Council believes vandals in south Norfolk are taking the signs to recycle as scrap metal.

Phil Whitworth from the council said removing the signs is dangerous and very costly.

"If somebody doesn't stop at the junction correctly then it could lead to a serious accident or even a fatality," he added.

"There is also the consideration of the cost of replacement of these signs, which ultimately, the county council has to bear the cost of."
