The site is "fabulous" for the rare dragonfly
A rare breed of dragonfly is thriving on a 40-hectare site in Norfolk which is being restored back to heathland thanks to government funding.

Grimston Warren near Kings Lynn is run by Norfolk Wildlife Trust and funded by Defra's Countryside Stewardship Scheme.

A range of wildlife is being attracted to the site, including the rare Black Darter dragonfly.

As part of the CSS agreement, trees and shrubs have been cleared and rushes, sedges and cotton grass recolonised.

Bill Boyd, from Norfolk Wildlife Trust, said: "We've undertaken a huge amount of restoration work at Grimston Warren in recent years, and it is now a fabulous site for dragonfly. "
