Ponies stolen from field
Police are appealing for help from the public after two ponies went missing from their Norfolk field.

The ponies are believed to have been stolen from the field in Grove Road, Hethersett sometime between Monday and Wednesday evening.

One of the ponies is about two feet tall and black in colour with a distinctive line along its back.

The other pony, the mother of the first, is tricolour, slightly larger and about 2 ft 6 in tall.

Police spokeswoman Nina Goad said, "It is thought that the ponies were stolen as there appears to be no other way they could have left the field.

"The theft of any pet is particularly distressing for the owner, as there is always a concern for the animal's welfare.

"Ponies require special care and attention and are not easy to look after, and we are therefore keen to see them safely reunited with their owner."

Anyone with information about the ponies is asked to contact Norfolk Police or make an anonymous call to Crimestoppers.
