About 500 people spelled out a plea to 'Save Our Shoreline'

People living in a north Norfolk village threatened by eroding coastline have spelled out their message to the government... literally.
Last year, a 30 metre stretch of land in Happisburgh was lost to the sea, taking a number of houses with it.
On Wednesday, 500 local people joined together to spell out the letters SOS on the cliffs - for Save Our Shoreline - in an effort to bring wider attention to the problem.
Last winter, the local council put 4000 tonnes of rock on the beach at a cost of £160,000.
But villagers believe the boulders are only a stopgap measure.
Residents have appealed to the government since the mid 1990s to fund a permanent solution to the disintegrating coastline.
