A former teacher from Norfolk has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for exposing himself to a young girl.
Christopher Eyre, 29, from Downham Market, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday.
Eyre was found guilty in August of exposing himself to a nine-year-old girl.
On Thursday the judge said that he had a good record as a teacher and had no previous convictions.
The court heard how he had jeopardised his career and his family life by committing the offence, even though he was cleared of engaging in sexual activity with young girls.
Reports presented to the court showed Eyre continues to deny his guilt and is at risk of reoffending.
The judge said it was important to give a custodial sentence to safeguard children.
Eyre was also disqualified from working with children for five years and put on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
