Pupils arrive to Sars quarantine
Hethersett Old Hall School
The Hethersett Old Hall School quarantine will last for 10 days
Eleven pupils from South East Asia will be put into quarantine when they return to their school in Norfolk on Sunday.

Staff at Hethersett Old Hall School are taking the precaution in case any of the pupils have been exposed to the Sars virus.

The girls will stay at the home of head teacher Janet Mark for 10 days.

They will be looked after by a nurse who has just come back from Singapore.

The quarantined girls are boarders at the independent girls' school just outside Norwich whose parents live in the Far East.

A letter was sent to parents two weeks ago telling them how the school hoped to keep its pupils free of infection.

Chairman of the governors Henry Speer said they wanted to reassure parents of children who had not been to the Far East that there was no chance of them being exposed to the virus.
