Man denies Liverpool stabbing murder charge

A 29-year-old man from Merseyside has denied stabbing a teenage neighbour to death.

Philip Thompson, of Partington Avenue, Bootle, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court accused of murdering 19-year-old Terry Stenson in January.

He was remanded in custody and his trial is expected to start on 17 May.

Merseyside Police said a post-mortem examination revealed Mr Stenson had died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
