Youth charged with boy's murder

A teenager has been charged with murdering a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed on Merseyside.

Police were called to Hempstead Close in Thatto Heath on Saturday night after reports of a disturbance.

John Marsh was taken to hospital with stab wounds, but died later of his injuries, Merseyside police said.

A 17-year-old boy from Thatto Heath has been charged with murder and is due before St Helens magistrates. A 44-year-old woman has been bailed.

She was arrested on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice.
