Fatal house fire probe continues

Police and fire officers are continuing to investigate the cause of a fatal house fire in Liverpool.

The bodies of a man, believed to be in his 50s, and three dogs were found inside the house on Harrow Road, Anfield, on Saturday.

Merseyside Fire Service described the fire, which started in the early hours, as "extreme".

Forensic scientists returned to the scene on Sunday to sift through the debris and establish the cause.
